Kwanzaa Celebration at the Convention Center

The Charleston County Kwanzaa Celebration honors the seven principles of Kwanzaa with a day of cultural performances, storytelling, African drumming and dance, an artisan marketplace, and a traditional Karamu feast. Educational workshops explore each principle — Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith).
